I thought it would be easier the second time

So I thought that with a second pregnancy, after a text book pregnancy, would be less stressful and wouldn't be so worrisome but I feel like its worse this time around! Last Wednesday night I had my husband take me into the emergency room because I was having horrible side pain and cramping. I had those symptoms sense finding out but just very mild so it was not to concerning. Well, Tuesday and Wednesday it was unbearable, and walking almost took me down to my knees. The hospital we went to is my all time favorite hospital. They are very quick and caring. I got into a room right away. The doc was to kindest ER doctor I have ever had or seen. He ordered blood work and an ultrasound to make sure everything was at the correct level and the bean was in the right spot. I was happy to see that the ultrasound tech brought down the scanner to my room so that I could have my husband there with me. He did an abdominal scan first but we were only able to see a small gestational sac.(in the right spot!!! so the pain wasnt ectopic) He had me empty my bladder so he could do a transvaginal to get a closer look at the sac to make sure there was something in there, because with my levels and my EDD we should of been able to see something. As soon as the transvaginal scan got going we saw the yolk and fetal pole with a flickering heartbeat!!! I measured right at 6 weeks and the BPM was 109. I was very relieved that my little bean was alive and well. The tech went on to find what could be causeing my pain and I have a large cyst on my right ovary and a larger cyst on my left. The left cyst is just fluid filled but my right cyst is more solid with blood vessels in it, which the doctor said can be very painful. The sharp pain is still there but I have noticed that the more I rest its not too bad. Well, fast forward to today. Earlier when I went to the potty I had some blood tinged mucus and from last night I have been having some cramping and uteran pain. I was really scared when I saw the blood so I called my doc and he wants to have another ulrasound done tomorrow with some more blood work. I hope the baby is fine and growing with a strong heartbeat. I just wish I was further along so I could reasure myself with the fetal doppler we bought when I was pregnant with Mae, but I am trying to stay possitive and have faith that the scan will go well tomorrow and everything will be fine.

Another one will be joining us

On wednesday I found out that I am pregnant!!! It was actually shocking to see the line indicating a possitive. It was only our first month of trying to conceive our second child, and trying to become pregnant with our first took over a year and only because I was put on Clomid. I am feeling very blessed to be given a second chance to carry and grow my own child. Two days prior to finding out that Im pregnant my friend Briee had found out that she has had a missed miscarraige. I was worrying and stressing about how and when I was going to tell her, but I figured there was probably no right time or way than just doing it. With such sad news from her so close to finding out about my pregnantcy has kind of made me worry, but I keep calming myself down by reminding myself that it is out of my hands and whatever happens will happen. There is no point in stressing, so im just going to enjoy each individual day and cound my blessings. I have taken my own advice "enjoy being pregnant because you wont be pregnant forever and it goes by so quickly(in hindsight of coarse!)"

lol now I just need to get some followers on here!

It Begins Today

So this is the start of my blog....yay! let me just describe myself a little bit. My name is Leigh and I am 21 years old. I am married to a wonderful man named Joel, and we have been married for 4 years. We have a very adorable daughter named Mae Lee who joined us this past March. We are all Pieces and I love that! I don't really do much, just take care of my hubby and daughter. In my free time I enjoy hopping online and checking my myspace and checking out the message boards on ivillage.com. I also really enjoy learning about human health, but I mostly like learning about women's health....it is very interesting to me.
I am kind of a neat freak and I have become obsessive about making my life clutter free, if i don't use it I chuck it!
I don't have a lot of friends, just one really really close friend named Briee. We are quite opposite but I think that's what makes our friendship so great.
I suffer with PCOS, which made conceiving my daughter pretty hard. I hope that when we try for the next one it wont be quite so hard but I'm sure we will have to go the Clomid route again.

Well, I love being a wife and a mom and I wouldn't want my life to be any different (except for another little one to take care of...I love being a mommy!)
